2015 Community Projects :: Athens, GA & Madison, GA

September - October 2015
MADISON, GA (US): Steffen Thomas Museum of Art outreach program Creative Teens Earning Green
Ages 13-18

This program is one of many in STMA's Arts Outreach efforts. In collaboration with Morgan County's Crossroads Alternative School, STMA brings local artists and instructors to engage students in weekly art programming that would otherwise be missing from their curriculum. A large part of the program encourages students to sell work that they make, involving many in art festivals and markets each year. STMA and Crossroads also partner with local organizations in the community for which students create collaborative public art installations.
